Undertaken as a research project to collect information on the characteristics of dangerous offenders (DOs), this report describes two parts of that study. Part one reviews penitentiary and Crown files which provide a description of DOs. Part two presents the results of an interview-based survey of Crown attorneys who have successfully prosecuted DOs. Among the study's findings are that the majority of DOs are sex offenders, and antisocial personalities are frequent among DOs. Accession Number: 013905
