Sexual Harassment Interventions

The measure of any organization's sexual harassment prevention training program is reflected in how well the organization eliminates the behavior and avoids lawsuits arising from sexual harassment. This digest describes three steps an organization needs to take in order to combat sexual harassment. The steps include: developing a strong company policy that specifies in writing what behaviors are inappropriate and the penalties if such actions occur; establishing grievance procedures for reporting and handling any complaints; and providing training for all staff that explains what sexual harassment is and how to deal with it.
