Day Parole Outcome, Criminal History and Other Predictors of Successful Sentence Completion

Successful completion of day parole results in lower rates of readmission and new offenses. This report examines those factors related to successful day parole completion. Contents include: executive summary; introduction; method such as data sources and measures (e.g., day parole outcome, recidivism, risk/needs, and analysis); results for male offenders, the relationship between day parole and post-day parole outcome, other factors influencing recidivism, aboriginal offenders, and female offenders; and discussion.
