The imposition of discipline on those inmates who do not comply with regulations governing a safe and orderly prison environment is explained. This Program Statement is comprised of the following ten chapters: introduction; notice to the inmate of Bureau of Prison rules; inmate rights and responsibilities; prohibited acts and disciplinary severity scaledisciplinary severity scale, sanctions, sanctions for repetition of prohibited acts within same category, sanctions by severity of prohibited act with eligibility for restoration of forfeited time and withheld statutory good time, and disallowance of good conduct time; incident report; initial hearing; Discipline Hearing Officer; appeals of disciplinary hearing actions; special housing units; and records and forms.
