A profile of Class 4 felony offenders, the least serious felony classification, utilizing criminal histories is provided. Sections of this Research Bulletin are: incarceration trends state fiscal year (SFY) 1995 to SFY04; offender characteristics -- offenses, sentence lengths and incarceration time, demographics, criminal histories, arrests, convictions, and incarceration; and conclusion. "Results of this study confirm that Class 4 offenders typically have lengthy criminal backgrounds and relatively short prison stays" (p.7).
