Findings are presented from pre-release interviews that "were designed to obtain data on the respondents' characteristics and pre-prison experiences, as well as incarceration experiences and services received since admission to prison" (p. 5). Sections of this report include: executive summary; introduction; characteristics of SVORI (Serious and Violent Offender Reentry Initiative) and non-SVORI comparison respondents; service needs; service receipt; and conclusions. Results from this descriptive study will provide the foundation for future research.
