The impact of court-ordered school desegregation on crime in selected large urban schools is examined. Sections following an abstract include: introduction; background; conceptual framework; data; methods; results according to the impacts of school segregation, homicide victimization, homicide offending, robustness and falsification tests, mechanisms, and generalizability; and conclusions. Homicide victimization declines 25% for black youth following court order compliance.
