Jail Administration
This program focuses on key elements in effective jail administration, including risk management; use of jail standards; development of and compliance with policies and procedures; inmate behavior management; determination of staffing needs; workforce development; systematic approaches to fire, safety, and sanitation; and ongoing operational assessment.
Program participants explore effective practices in each of these areas, review the operations of their own jails, and develop plans for improvement.
